Open Door Skidrow Ministry started as a sidewalk church in the heart of Skidrow (L.A. homeless capital in the nation) where we provide a weekly church service to the homeless men, women, and veterans that live on Skidrow. We reach the unreached, teach the untaught, and catch the uncaught lost souls by showering them with God's love, provide a homecooked meal after every service, as well as the call for salvation.
Open Door Skidrow Ministry is a sidewalk church in the heart of Skidrow that reaches out to the chronic homeless men and women that live in the community. Founder/Evangelist Geraldine Hughes began this ministry in 2008 and provides weekly church services to the lost.
Since 2008, we have seen over 6,500 souls saved. Our greatest victory was seeing a man with a lunatic spirit return back to his right mind and hear his first words to us saying "I like what you are doing down here."
Open Door Skidrow Ministry will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary this November 30, 2018, and we are believing God to purchase our own building by doing our 10 Year Anniversary Fundraiser.
