PUT TRAUMA BEHIND YOU AND COME INTO A DYNAMIC RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!

Inter Trauma Nexus is a Christian Ministry Network offering multi-professional support, mentoring and coaching. Pastor Wynand and Dr Barbara Louw were instrumental in founding Inter Trauma Nexus when they took the calling of God in Isaiah 61:1 literally.

We send a daily email to encourage the Friends of Inter Trauma Nexus (www.itn.org.za)

Description

We believe that God called us to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor and the afflicted; to bind up and heal the broken hearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives and open the prison and eyes of those who are bound. People came to us for help, hope and guidance. They need us to help them see God’s mercy and find possibilities to solve their problems.

Trauma is part of life and we are successful in helping people to make informed decisions.
In 1998 Inter Trauma Nexus was registered and aligned with the South African Crime Prevention Strategy’s Victim Empowerment Programme. For the next 12 years the management team of ITN was involved in police station based victim support and training for community members to offer support to victims. This programme was very successful, but financial challenges were rife. In 2005 we had to re-evaluate the role this ministry played in the community.

Despite the challenges of a changing season in the ministry the vision remained the same, to help people to put trauma behind them and to find hope. It is possible to grow from traumatic experiences to wellness through wholeness. We specialize in Victim support, Trauma and Crisis management, specialised pastoral counselling, coaching and mentoring. This is achieved by offering topic specific training, support groups and a wide range of services to schools, churches and other organisations.

We are committed to adhere to the following set of values…
• The purpose of glorifying God.
• Excellent victim support, guidance and counselling.
• Adding value to people and capacity building to communities
• Building strong relationships with associates, clients and the community.
• Proper stewardship of Inter Trauma Nexus.
• The personal growth of each team member.
• Doing the right things and doing things right.

Jesus said: “The thief comes only in order to steal and **** and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep. The thief comes only in order to steal and **** and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep” (John 10:10, Amplified Bible)

The three major projects that ITN offers at this stage is two weekly trauma support groups in Pretoria, support and care for mentally handicapped adults in Eersterust and mentorship for people in the ministry. We regularly present a course “My Breakthrough” at churches and other organisations to help people put trauma behind them.

After many years in the ministry our conclusion is that, by the grace of our Lord, this God-given passion and purpose is as important today as when we started.
